I'm not on poster colors. It's usually done on subjects that don't work well with it. I'm playing around with this shot. I don't know if I like it. The original is very pastel. My wife and I were at the Hollywood bowl for a Beatles concert.
It was fifty years to the day since the "fab four" played there. Paul Sent a lovely message that got applause from the crowd. Half the audience were old farts like me, and the other half were three generations of the young here to hear the music that they had heard so much about from there grandparents.
The performers didn't have to be coaxed, they were eager to play the bowl doing Beatles. A lot of them were only know to the teenagers. But all of us knew the rest, Billy Ray Cyrus. He flew here from Nashville, Martina McBride came from Australia. It was a great night.
I took this shot with my Nikon Coolpix 510, a camera that can do more than entire forty pounds of equipment I used to carry on assignment.
This tree was across the freeway from the bowl was on the high hills north of Hollywierd. It was close to half a mile away. The 510 was zoomed out to a thousand millimeters. This is the kind of shot you can get with a great camera and an image stabilizer.
