grey day on the northeast coast didn't really offer any seascape photo opportunities , shot this on way back to car just before light faded altogether , bit of a last ditch attempt to not leave empty handed , hence the title.

Great colour and a lovely silhouette, you've used your imagination to salvage the trip! Being a little picky, there is an apparent jagged halo on the middle and right hand stems. This jagged nature may just be from compressing the file for upload? I often get halo's around hard edges of high contrast if my 'levels' control on unsharp mask is set too low. If you set it higher then it often avoids this although sometimes silhouettes are so crisp they don't require any sharpening. The sky backdrop has some ring effects, like rings in a tree trunk. Again I've seen with with file compression for upload, also when vignette effects are applied. Not sure if either of those apply here? Aside from my nit-picking, I think this is excellent. The odd number of sharp stems is very satisfying, as are the proportions to the image and the fact the flower heads are not all on a level. You are very versatile!
