Great sky and nice composition, like it.
Really like this shot, Great colours and, again, the simplicity works.
Nice composition and colour.
Great colours and a good use of foreground interest.
Good foreground with the main diagonal going in the same direction as the lines in the sky - and good colours and exposure. A very pleasing image.
Lovely exposure, good composition. Well done.
The lines are perfect! Beautiful colours and as always the composition is great. I hope I will be able to capture such amazing sky some day. Love it!
Stunning colours, great composition
You live in a beautiful part of the world Ken, and this is a fantastic shot of that wonderful place. Suddenly, the old branches lose the “odd” appearance and simply blend into the wonderful landscape naturally. This is a stunning image – so full of warm colour, a lovely calm atmosphere, and a breath-taking sense of perspective. I love how the water reflects the sky with a lovely glass-like texture, contrasting and complimenting those smoky clouds.
This is an image high on “mood”, and you have captured such a detailed and inviting picture, which would encourage me to visit such a place to sample that peaceful feel for myself. With those branches in the foreground, I think somehow this image has more depth. That feature leads the eye in to the scene and acts as an Artistic embellishment in creating that sense of perspective. There is also a clever connection between its dark tones and the silhouette in the distance.
All these various elements create a truly beautiful composition – perfectly balanced. I have viewed many “landscapes”, but this one stands out from the crowd. It is a more subdued and delicate presentation, with smoothness of tone and none of the dreadful overly saturated shots I often see. The clouds are soft and soothing, and contain so many different colours, which blend effortlessly, in keeping with the overall calmness of the atmosphere. Even the darker tones do nothing to upset this balance.
You are a very gifted photographer Ken and I am sure this image will certainly attract the attention you deserve – and, encourage members to appreciate the exemplary images you capture. Well done on capturing this awesome scene.
What Ken said! hehe, no seriously, this is a perfection shot with some brilliant colour..nicely done, regards, Rob.
