This has been manipulated... (the sunrise is in fact a sunset!).
Anyway thank you so much for calling by - I do hope you will comment and poke fun - please feel free to be highly critical

Great bit of manipulation well done
Nothing to be critical about. Well manipulated, great image
It looks quite ghostly.
Nice one, if its good enough for Spielberg...
Thank you all so much for your valued comments (of course you have all been too kind to mention that I spelt Quo Vardis with an R - I think it should be Quo Vadis - (I am so stupid after a glass or two of Merlot!)).
First class, this deserves a lot more attention from voters
SUNRISE SUNSET, PERFECTION, CHUCK
Thanks so much guys - In actual fact it was a sunset that I hadn't been able to do much with so I turned it upside down (so I guess that makes it a sunrise) it made me feel a little uneasy and slightly omnipotent - I just hope the power doesn't go to my head - I might start jumping red lights or something!
great shot plenty to see
Thanks so much Dawn
nice shot, well done, shona
This would make an excellent cover for a shipping / museum magazine, i think the composition is great.....
An interesting arangement which is always worth producing and finding out what the tools actually do. Well thought out.
Cheers guys - yes it is amazing what all these different tools can do - to be honest these image layers were only ever at best modest - so merging them has done the trick. What I was trying to get was something a little 'golden compass' sort of just slightly other world (hence the upsidedown sunset).
Thanks so much for looking.
Very intresting well done
This is like a vision ! Wonderful work Robert, so imaginative.
Thank you Andrew and thank you Di - the wonders of Paint Shop Pro never cease to amaze me - I will nevr be the same again I fear.
Very best wishes
This is one of those montages made to make us lose our bearings (or marbles). Love the compass as counterweight to the sunrise-set thing.
I like the way you have approached this image and used the various images to compose the final result wich I think is superb.
A great effect and detail Robert and a lovely composition.
Love the atmosphere you've created with this
Thank you very much Lucy,Pauline,Steve and John your comments very very much valued.
Just another point of very minor interest but the compass actually comes from the tallship - another bit of symmetry maybe.
Very best wishes
Very clever image. - gary
the only thing I would say is becareful where the direction oflight is coming from - but hey I really like this - you have a surreal imagination
Thanks all for you much appreciated comments
Lovely work gives me the impression of a ghost ship a very interesting manipulation,
