Taken two weeks ago in bright conditions but towards the end of the day as these clouds skudded by.

The image has been tweaked primarily changed colour balances to give it a semi sepia feel and a little curves work to add some drama.

I was trying to capture the sort of 'farming forward to record grain crops' so beloved of the iron curtain countries back in the 60's and 70's (I remember listening to both Radio Luxembourg and the Russian crop news as a boy under the sheets late at night with my new transistor radio - so I have always had an odd fascination).

This is pure vanity and self indulgence - so please feel free to draw the conclusion that I have gone completely mad - you will not be far from the truth I am sure.

Thanks so much for looking.

Handheld 1/350th @ F6 on 100 iso

Best wishes

Robert

A great sense of movement in the clouds and the grasses.
The colours create an ageing and timeless feel to the image

Dramtic shot, the sky provides a good backdrop. I like the diagonal composition.
