Taken in the Kruger national Park in South Africa. Not as clear as I had hoped as i could not use my tripod in the car and that lens gets heavy.

They have one of these wee beasties at Chester zoo. I've photographed it myself with a similar look to this (I was in luck, the sky was as blue as this).

Very well shot & composed.

I'm a bit surprised at the amount of noise. You don't have the exif data available, but I suspect that the ISO must have been high. I'd have expected a semi-pro camera to handle it better, and that there would have been enough light in Africa not to need to hit the crank button.

Thanks all. Dave it's probably because I have no clue how to use the settings on my camera. I need to take the time to figure it out. It was right before sun set when this picture was taken and the exif data was as follows: 1/640sec at f10, ISO 100.
