Took my son out to some local ponds in Cwmbran, South Wales to try and get some photos of birds to encourage him to recognise and capture them (with a camera!). Not many around so went chasing after the countless Damsels.
I came across an old tree stump in the shady undergrowth and spotted a young Toad (A Common, I believe) sitting on the moss covering it.
Taken with a 70~300mm at 300mm and F5.6, hand held, leaning against a small tree trunk.
Shutter speed was around 320th of a second.
