LIFE BEFORE INSIDE PLUMBING VIEW LARGE IF YOU HAVE TIME
THE SETTING IS AN IRISH FARMHOUSE IN THE 1960's. THE ITEMS THAT YOU SEE WERE AVAILABLE IN THE 60's. I WAS THERE IN THE 60's, AND WE DID HAVE A BLUE PLASTIC BASKET. THE SINK WAS USED AS A SLUICE.

Very good, I saw a play the other night based in Ireland where the old lady kept pooring her pee down the sink. It didn't go down well. Great post processing. V1 stands out for me but I enjoyed the others too.
Regards Andy
v1 works really well. very good photo. one thing though. it is over sharpenened (V3 even more)
edit : V4 is about perfect
Excellent processing and anyone of *an age* will recognise a scene like this...brilliant !! ![]()
Version 1 is superb not sure about the manipulations but V1 is a stand alone masterpiece.
Tom.
Don't know where you got this from Gerry but it's certainly up there with your best work. V1 has lovely colours, tones and textures. V2 looks a bit flat and v3 has a 'gritty' quality but the bright light in the window and walls might be a little distracting as the texture has been lost.
Personally I would stick to V1 although I'm sure that with your talent you could still make a great B&W image from it if that's what you wanted to do.
Well done mate
Michael

Cracking set of shots.
V3 works well for me.
Regards
David
An absolute cracking set. V1 for me. Lots of 'human interest' content etc.
Congratulations on your awards for this Gerry, a superb shot.
Tony
Trfiffic image. Full of fascinating visual information. V1 is my preference.
As everyone has said above - the tones and colour on this are fantastic. I guess the post processing has a lot to do with it but you have to have a good exposure to begin with. John
A very worthy winner of all it's Awards Gerry.
My compliments on a wonderful piece of imagery.
Fabulous image - a wonderful slice of life. So well deserving of all the awards.
Anne
Very nostalgic, I like v3, it has the look of a news paper or magazine print. Black and whites tell the story better than the coloure'd versions.
P.S. This image reminds me of images you get in the Peoples Friend, a magazine the lady in the image might have read while sitting in front of the fire with a cup of tea, at the same time getting lazy tartan on her leg.
Sorry but your image took me down memory lane.

What can I say but WOW. the colour, lighting and tone are spot on.
There is no need for are written word as the viewer can peel back the story line and layers of this image with there eyes.
This is truely painting with light.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Ray
