Hello, Katie. You have a good image that shows the detail on the bridge and the surrounding area. The image would benefit from having a good reflection of the bridge in the water, and it's a shame the foreground water wasn't still enough for this. The brightness of the water at the bottom tends to draw the eye away from the bridge, so I would suggest toning that down. I don't know this bridge, but would assume the walkway is flat and not sloping. Forgive me if I am wrong. I have done a modification where I used Perspective Correction to straighten the bridge, cropped and cloned in a bit more water at the bottom. I then adjusted levels, used the Burn Tool to darken the water and light grass bottom left, and removed the blue cast, adding more green. I finished with a high pass sharpen. I am not sure if I have hit upon the area that you feel is wrong.
Pamela.
Just a note for Pamelajean.......the photo of Ironbridge bridge, is structuraly correct !.....the stone pillar is upright, & the top deck of the bridge is sloping as shown, to an apex at the centre of the span, then descends
in a similar manner on the other side !......similar to the roof of a house, only with a shallow incline.......it may look like distortion, but it isn't, this photo is exactly what it looks like !!!!
Thanks for the correction, Niknut, and I apologise to Katie.
