went to see tracey flower pots today and i got the camera out and got this i took over 50 images today so it was hard to choose a image.

NO. Looks OK to me. Have uploaded a mod, which is merely tweaking the post processing (levels, contrast, sharpness), but basically the shot is there in the first place.

Possible areas to improve next time (which doesn't make this a bad shot as is):
- Shoot more at eye level with the child rather than looking down on the child
- Use the rule of thirds in composition
- The brighter white skirting board, right hand side of frame, distracts
- Possibly a larger aperture to throw the background even more out of focus

There isn't much more I can add... I agree with all above.. Maybe on the processing you could manipulate the bg somewhat to maintain focus on the child alone!?! None the lass, as stated a great image x x
