The Hat

The Hat by Richsr

Hi Richard ,
I think Ilarggub (What kind of names that Wink) has hit the nail on the head. The composition is magical but sharpness is missing from the edges.
As a iconic image it stands up and deserves the merit but as a portrait Sad

Now i`m going to have to have a go.
Thanks for posting

Tulip Of Kashmir

Tulip Of Kashmir by Ahmadsphoto

Just out of intrest are these wild native plants?
I`ve only ever seen cultivated ones and thought the original would be a lot smaller.

Lovely colour and backdrop.

Web Tangle

Web Tangle by Ayoob

Hi Ayoob
Your grass works from left to right and is on a diagonal ,back grounds well defused .
Well framed in the shot.
Some of the highlights in the grass could be brought back as detail is missing?
Spiders web add some extra intrest.

Not sure on your lens choice for this shot ?
500mm at F22.?? Is this a hard crop ? Smile

I would use a lesser telephoto,70-200 mm or even less if available ,try around ISO 200 aperture as wide as you could get it--- F4.5 or less.
And get in close and use the full frame.
Lovely camera, if cropping in hard your throwing away loads of detail (And the D800 certainly has loads of detail.Wink )

An Orchid

An Orchid by kevpt66

.Nice but i feel the focus needs to be moved up a bit to center of flower ?At the moment the focus is on the 2 fangs and rounded petal above and below the stamen
Metering could of been spot to get exact point of focus.
Apature could of been opened up a little more you used f5.6 and you have a f2.8 lens
Colours are good, just enough detail in background.

The tower

proberly best shot ive seen of this....
I would be tempted to crop it from LHS and make it square ? (And lose those two posts Wink )
