After an afternoon of shooting along Dingli Cliffs, me and brother Edwin settled down around the Buskett Woods for a round of night photography ...

The winding country lanes gave us a good blend of streetlighting and shadow along most of the woods ... I eventually got hold of this composition, the weeping bark and the lighting over it getting the better of me. Quite a lengthy exposure at 25 secs, though reveals lovely detail. I added a burst of fill-in flash during the exposure to fill in the shadow area of the bark. Should be viewed large to appreciate. Thanks for viewing.

Fascinating idea-- and a fascinating image-- 25 seconds and fill flash-- I like the rich color that has resulted-- I shall have to try this -- at a warmer time of year!

The light really has brought out some wonderful textures in the tree trunk. Love the rich colour in this too.
