After a 6-week layoff due to various reasons, I've finally decided to sit down again before my laptop and process a couple of shots ..... photography has that power of luring you back lol!
A stroke of luck, and this one I managed to capture in good time ... the guy walked by so apprehensive, his menacing look clearly spealt out no photographs of me please! I set the camera and decided to go for a pot shot just before he rounded the curve ..... those menacing clouds (we had a hell of a storm here on the morrow!) providing a lovely backdrop to the guy and his horse ..... quite a friendly stroll it seemed to be.
Hope you find the shot to your liking, viewed large if possible.
Thanks and hi again to all my friends out there ..... I hope to be here a bit more often now!
Joe

you have been missed Joe.
This is a great photo as always. Well done.

Tremendous image with that glorious saturation, and a good horse pic gets my vote anyway! This gives Bert a run for his money!

Deserved plaudits for this shot Joe. One slight quibble - it may be a touch over-sharpened - although of course that could be my monitor. However the plus side of the equation completely outweighs this. The presence of the figure and horse, the light and the composition make this such a satisfying and very much under-clicked image.

beautiful light, lovely balanced comp, great atmosphere. i agree about the oversharpening, but that's often different on the screen than the original..
just a wee thought for the crack - do a mirror flip, so they're walking in from left to right (as the eye reads) ....just a thought

One of those typical Catania pictures. Fantastic mood and superb composition.
