Another one of the many 'Stupid O'Clock' sunrises on the way to Glen Coe.
I don't normally do landscapes - too much to fit in and risk of wonky horizons.
Thanks to Bex's for finding this spot.
I've uploaded the original - over cooked? Lol . . .
ISO 50, 1.3 s, f22, 17mm
Lee 0.9 ND Hard Grad on the sky and 0.6 Soft Grad on the water. Would have used fill in flash if I'd remembered to bring it with me . . .

spot on tone in this well composed and presented shot.
looks like a sea of flames.
well done iajacks
For someone who claims not to do landscapes !!!!!!!!!!!! stunning and I love the crop in it.
love that gold tone!
it has the midas touch!
Cheers - and thanks Dave - the crop got rid of the wonky horizon!
One of the better compositions I've seen from this location Ed and a different colouring than them too.
Barka da Kirsimatikuma Barka da Sabuwar Shekara!
works wel,Like the colour and details
A pleasing composition, and good use of filters. I like the inclusion of the vegetation creeping into the bottom corner of the photo.
love the crop. great lines right through to the sunrise.
Lovely colours and composition Ed.
looks like it was worth the early start that day.
Like the weed and the composition of the subject.....would like to see the original of this as to the eye there would seem to be more than 1/1.5 stop between that there 'land' n that there sky.
Colors, composition and crop are all just excellent. Maybe you ought to do more landscapes...seem to have the knack for it.
Wish I'd followed you and Bex....
There were a lot of lying B*******ds on that trip claiming they could not take pictures/landscapes
You couldn't tell that you normally don't do landscapes - this certainly looks like a good one to me! Quite golden - pleasing tones, and excellent composition. What more do we want?
Great crop and colours, love the foreground detail too.
I like this a lot Edward, great job.
Fantastic sunrise.beautiful colours.
Thanks for all the comments. It's all Ade's fault that this has been over cooked in photoshop. As promised, I've uploaded a straight raw -> jpeg conversion.
Stunning colours Ed,like liquid gold
I had a look at the straight raw and this picture is far better the colours and the foreground detail is terrific
Right, next meet, I want a PS lesson thank-you! ;o)
Like I said last night, I love that bramble creeping in!
Fabulous shot, great colour.
I think we've all got shots as goldne as this one Ed
The temptation to slide the white temp right up is hard to resiust isn't it
Classy landscape either way - it's the shape of the forground rock that works for me - it's all pointing the right way - even the crack in it's helping.
Will have to do a really over-done one for tonight's post!
You want my gritty urban critique..?
It definitely needs a half submerged shopping trollie in the foreground. ;o)
Ed, who says you can't do landscapes? This is pure class, it may be slightly overcooked but the composition and light across the mountain more than makes up for that.
Yello..but I'll go with it.
Who put the shrubbery there?
