On the way up Ben Lomond, we were distracted by an interesting little stream. The summit wasn't looking very promising, so I headed off with Ian, Becky, Brian and Robbie for some stream photography.
I was going to convert to B&W but felt it was actually unnecessary. I've added a toned variation to the mods.

very nice composition and exposure
fantastic shot.. love the exposure..
Woaw Ed what an image so dramatic and very atmoshpheric ))
Sorry I did not seem to find the time for a wee blether regarding the toy bussiness :-(( weekend just seemed to fly past so quick )
ps Ed remember if you could to link it in the thread for images from here ) here !!!
I liked the first upload but they both have a mystical quality. K.
Good atmosphere in this Ed and I like that it isn't quite b&w. The little square light patch top left maybe a touch distracting but all in all another quality shot.
Nice composition and two very effective images Edward. I like them both.
The large version is excellent, Ed. Very mystical.
Stunning image, very atmospheric
Good composition and exposure on this Ed, very nice indeed.
took me about five minutes to decide that this is genius.
The little touches of colour really lift what initially looks to be a B&W. Love the zigzag composition too.
BTW I checked here and there are no DBA jobs going at the mo
All said, inspiring, just like the last one.
Great stuff - yet only a few clicks - doesn't make any sense.
Thats a real beauty Ed. Fabulous. Click. Ali
Ah-ha, the branch! I see why you were so pleased with it now, I have alot to learn bout zooming in a bit! Love the slight reflected light and dramatic water effect!
Nice silky water movement, Ed.
Brrrr..... that looks cold!
Cheers all - think this is my favourite shot of the weekend.
Chris - thanks but I'm pretty well sorted now.
I like this one a lot, superb exposure control.
Great decision to take the detour on your way up to Ben Lomond. Excellent image of the waterfall with a good exposure. Like the diffuse brilliance of the water over the dark rocks.
Great pleasure meeting you at Rowardennan.
Ed I just had to sit and look at this for ages. I can hear that spray and feel its iciness .. what a stunner of a shot. You're one of the people converting me to soft water too! those little streams rushing down with just enough detail to make them come alive.
I like what you've done with this - an intriguing image...
Hello Edward, sorry I missed you at Loch Lomond, it is fairly local for us so we just had a day visit to say hello to everyone...good exposure on the water and works fine in black and white.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Tony - was great to meet you too.
Suzi - Think I'll pack waders next year!
Doug - sorry to have missed you too. I see you found some amazing scenery.
wow, stunner. As you say no need to convert to mon, its almost there as it is.
Wonderful framing and lighting, and the overall image works so well, nice one Rupe...sorry Ed.
great dramatic, atmospheric image.
