back to fairyland
tried to make this version look more like an old photo by sort of bleaching bits, after converting and colouring....
V2 is just the colour version i worked on
ta for looking and for crit'/advice
Beautiful work.Love how you have created the wings.
very nice work.......prefer the colour version....
I'll go for the B&W version. There are more details in the shadows and it has an ancient feel that goes with the theme. It is moer mysterious. Great processing and pose for sure.
(am really grateful to her for posing for me )
wow very spooky
Its the colur one for me. The way you have used the colours - sort of faded - makes it somewhat ethereal in my view.
I have to admit I prefer the colour version. I think just because it makes the model a bit more promminent.
Excellent work again, can yoiu better this ???? We all eagerly await
cheers folks... i prefer mono all the way lol
(and i hope i can Colin!)
Wow! brilliant Jo, great the way you keep working an idea until hitting the jackpot.
ta pooch..lol flogging it to death more like
ps. ive taken some of her in more normal clothes too but i don't half like the fairy look on her!
much better in bnw & it shows the colour version up for what it is rather uninteresting & bland. the bnw version is so much better benefiting from the work you put in that would barely have reaped rewards on the colour version. just shows that sometimes bnw comes to the recsue.
you know i fully agree Gerry, so much so i just want to take the colour one off!
might do yet lol
right off to have a go at the monday night challenge
Yep - mono for me as well. Great work.
They are both lovely but I really love the mono version Jo. A beautiful model who I actually thought was you but maybe not judging by one of your comments. A magical image.
Stunning work Jo...a really beautiful image
Lovely work Joe.....like both colour and BW.
Superb and beautiful.
it's my daughter Di
The composition within the square frame works really well indeed. I prefer the black & white version myself, lots more detail and more in-keeping with the subject. A lovely series this...
k..i've been 'one , twoing' on this one for about 5 minutes, and i can't decide which version i like best..lol...if i had to make a choice the colour would just edge it, but the black and white looks great also
anyways, great pose, and you made an excellent job of this. It almost has a 3D feel..
i like them Both sorry
Glad to make it 30 Love both - colour just pips it for me. She really is the spitting image of you isn't she! Bruce
She is just so beautiful - and really captivating in this pose. Every time you post they just get better and better
Great work.. I like them both.
more thanks everyone
she hasn't seen this one yet, well, not with wings added lol
although I love the B&W the colour just wins it for me
this is beautiful so well composed
and the lighting is so good
i like both versions
it is nice to see the colours but the black and white one seems more atmospheric
Elegance, Jo. Ron.
Well I much prefer the colour version on this one.
Brilliant concept. And very well put together. Inspired.
I love he Hippy 60s feel to these
Love the style of this. Excellent work!
A beautiful model captured very beautifully. Mono for me.
..and even better. Pooch said it with hitting jackpot. One for the favs
This is simply great.
Just realised there's a second version. I prefer the colour one.
Both versions are stunning ( the wings are particularly impressive) but the colour one has the edge for me
Mono for me
has that real 1940's fake farie shot feel to it Jo, very nicely done.
and for your award xanda!
Been looking forward to having a good look at this all day .... could'nt really see it properly on the work's screen.
I think my favourite of many favourites of yours Jo. Beautiful model, beautiful colours and beautifully processed. I like the BW for the extra bit of detail that is visible, but just love the colours in V2.
Have you tried layering the BW version on top of the colour version and lowering it's opacity just to try and get the best of both worlds?
If I was into these User Award thingy's then this would surely receive one.
hmmm no dave i haven't tried that on this one...
thanks for your FB
colour version for me.
Now, that's a stunning image, love both version, probably would go for B&W one, both are awesome though!
like them both for different reasons. If I had one on my wall it'd ahve to be the colour version
Colour version is good, but B&W works really well.
Love both images, super feel to them, still got that pre-Raphaelite thing going on, which is wonderful.
For me the colour edges it, because you obviously spend a lot of time and effort arranging the colourways.
Wonderful series, just gets better every day!
This has been a superb series, and to me this is the best of them all, combining the clever Kitsch manipulation and atmosphere with a beautiful model.
Superb series, hope they continue.
Yup...you got the old photo bit going on really well in V1, J. I love the green in V2 but the eyes and wings are too dark there. For me, anyway. V1 rocks
more thanks to everyone for commenting etc
and for your award jon!
