"clouds in my coffee" are the confusing aspects of life and love. That which you can't see through, and yet seems alluring...until. Like a mirage that turns into a dry patch. Perhaps there is something in the bottom of the coffee cup that you could read if you could (like tea leaves or coffee grinds). Carly Simon 5/17/01

No. 1 for me Jo. It emphasises the abstract where the other one allows too much logic to intrude.
You certainly have hit 2008 with a whole new bag of goodies.

Nr 1 is nr 1! Brill. The texture reminds me of a bedspread, so the words "..and I don't sleep, I take naps with one eye open" comes to mind. It's a hip hop quote...

Number one for me Jo. Better contrast, more surreal, plus a little border to define the image. I'm not very up on artists, but this reminds me of something that perhaps Picasso or Dali should have done in one of their more off-the-wall moments.

Fabulous concept, perfectly executed. I think the contrast is spot on. It's a soft image, so needs shades of grey. Just like life and love. Smile

No 1 for me Jo, I prefer it with more contrast and it's more abstract with just the one eye.

I recommend L'ORéAL Plenitude Line Eraser to get rid of those creases...;0P lol.

One eye....adds to the surrealistic feeling of this. Good work.
As an aside I am working on a bargello quilt of the same title, and thought process!

I like the logic of 2 and the surrealism of 2. Both have a good light and airy feel - with a kitsch twist!
