this guy dances in front of a troupe of drummers in the centre of Manchester.

he's very energetic ( hence the sweat running down his face ) but i was struck by how peaceful he looked when i zoomed in on a much larger image

original shot in mods, i keep doing that for some reason! lol

ta for looking

I'd like to see it larger - great colour and lighting.

oooops!!!

wrong box lol
i can't decide which BG to give it on here :-/

Excellent work! Very dramatic. I'd lose the frame though - it seems to take away from the shot.

Superb treatment on this......not something I would have thought of at all.
I would just leave the border as black, I don't think it needs anything to try and pull it out.

I too like what you've done with a pretty mundane shot Jo. The black background, elongated crop and off-centre composition are very effective. Bigger would be better, but I guess you'd lose quality bearing in mind the small portion of the original shot that you've actually used.

I should smile nicely at Pooch and he'll send you one of his spare telephoto lenses. Ask him for the 24-105 F4 L if I were you Smile

Hey, I was in Manchester on Saturday 14th (i.e. yesterday) and saw this guy & the drummers in front of Marks & Spencer, where they usually perform! They're called the Manchester Samba School. I didn't take any pics today but my last-but-one upload was a close-up of one of the drummer's hands. I've got a shot of the black guy on the latest page of my portfolio too. Click!
