Dark and deep and infinitely sad. There is no way this forms any part of a happy story.
There is so much here for the imagination to take hold of.
Brilliantly done Jo.

Dark, deep and vaguely worrying. Is there something of your life in here Jo or is it just fantasy.

Either way it's well done, if not a little depressing.

Dave.

thanks all, sorry it's depressing

well the image is fantasy (though i made sure it was ok to use pic of the boy, who i know)
but the sentiment is very real

Great moody piece of work, I would of like to see a touch more of the bottom of the chair but that is nick picking.

Deep, deep, deep. Worringly deep. If this was a "pretty picture" I would say the chair was too far removed from the picture of the boy; but a pretty picture it ain't, and that separation adds to the tension and the feeling that this picture tells the story of someone's situation; the journey from innocence to world-weary depression and despair.
I didn't mean to say so much, but this is one powerful picture.

thanks for FB/comments all

it's funny sometimes when i sit at PC and start manipulating shots how, even though i feel quite happy, (am going on holiday thurs for a week and should be packing lol)
an image will sort of evolve itself

tis a sad journey for some with no happy ending

wooo this is wonderful, yes it is dark, but very strong.
it.
Unfortunately there are many lives that are like this for children, very sad.
but life's not all sunshine, so we must also represent it.
well done
