it's a bit dark, it's a bit deep
but it's going in my PF anyway...
feedback/critique always welcome
thanks for looking
(maybe i should've said, 3 shots,
chair from a burnt-out flat i worked in, derelict stonemasons yard plus boy from across my road
Very well constructed image. Nice work
BRILLIANT shot, very creepy though.
Deep darling... deep but I love it anyway.
Dark and deep and infinitely sad. There is no way this forms any part of a happy story.
There is so much here for the imagination to take hold of.
Brilliantly done Jo.
Dark, deep and vaguely worrying. Is there something of your life in here Jo or is it just fantasy.
Either way it's well done, if not a little depressing.
Very absorbing and thought provoking. Like it lots. Bruce
thanks all, sorry it's depressing
well the image is fantasy (though i made sure it was ok to use pic of the boy, who i know)
but the sentiment is very real
Another strange but very interesting image.
Not depressing, thought provoking. Don't apologise for this, I for one, love it.
Great moody piece of work, I would of like to see a touch more of the bottom of the chair but that is nick picking.
Nicely done Jo, very dark and brooding
I'm glad you decided to include it in your PF. Very interesting collage. -=Walter
unusual ,deep and thought provoking!
I like images like this...
original and very good
Was browsing the gallery, and this one stood out as very interesting (and I guessed it was yours as well). Fabulous textures and well executed idea!
So well done! Like it, even though it is a tad creepy. Pam
Nice work Jo.
Deep, deep, deep. Worringly deep. If this was a "pretty picture" I would say the chair was too far removed from the picture of the boy; but a pretty picture it ain't, and that separation adds to the tension and the feeling that this picture tells the story of someone's situation; the journey from innocence to world-weary depression and despair.
I didn't mean to say so much, but this is one powerful picture.
Very deep, very dark - well worked - superb image. Lyns x
thanks for FB/comments all
it's funny sometimes when i sit at PC and start manipulating shots how, even though i feel quite happy, (am going on holiday thurs for a week and should be packing lol)
an image will sort of evolve itself
tis a sad journey for some with no happy ending
Maximum joy! Creative and original!
most effective, the image looks projected, good work
(tried to make the boy look like he's projected off an old cine/home movie film)
brilliant, sad and emotive, stunning stuff.....jojo
A cracker. Really imaginative and superbly done.
Ooooh! Juicy full of inner demons! Nicely done and congrats on the HC. Have an RC to round out the accolades!
oh! hey, thanks pete!
& jo,david and doug, cheers
Hey Congrats! Better late
wooo this is wonderful, yes it is dark, but very strong.
Unfortunately there are many lives that are like this for children, very sad.
but life's not all sunshine, so we must also represent it.
Great stuff Jo, congrats on the Hc.
Jo, amazing. a triple blend of composition , light and pure skill.
What a great image...very well done and has your style stamped all over it
...and another HC??...blimey, you're going to need a trophy room soon...
very well deserved jo...excellent stuff
