Well, I thought the B&W version was fantastic, but the desaturated colours here really gives it a little something extra IMO.

Ya know, I go around bare-foot on my old wooden floors too, and I'm constantly pulling bloody splinters out o' my toes....

Usually I always prefer B&W but I think this pic works just as well in colour.

The hint of colour helps this a lot, as does the extra little touch of light on the hair.

One is B/W - the other colour and both have their own merits and stand up equally in their own world

I think this is excellent and I don't want to compare the different versions. Being a little lighter and being able to see your face seems to change the mood of the whole picture.

Agree with the general consensus that this is a great image.

The difference between the b&w and this is mainly in the fact that your face is missing in the former. I prefer this desat one because there is a wistful expression visible.

Nice sp Jo. I've just realised that I've been looking at most of your images "in the dark", having just bumped up the brightness & contrast to max there is a load more detail visible. I'll have to drop it back down now, eyes getting burnt!
