my daughter, checking her myspace

she wouldn't pose so grabbed a couple of shots of her in front of the computer lol

not sure of the crop but the shadows from monitor were too dramatic/looked too weird, for the full face, so it ended up like this, i can't seem to get a decent 'eye' shot

anyway, bloomin internet went down for the rest of the night after i took this! so i'll catch up on here later

have a good day
ta for looking

jo

It's quite effeective Jo, well lit and the composition works OK for me. I don't like the black border to the left of the face though, it just does'nt look quite right to me. Maybe it should be a bit thinner?

Dave.

I love the lighting in this, and the faraway look on her face. If anything, the black border on the left could be thicker, as if she were half hidden behind a door or something.

I really like this, especially the crop. To be honest, I hadn't noticed the black to the left of her face, but now it's been pointed out, I have to agree that it's a bit of a dsitraction.

I quite lihe this. The face is beautifully lit, the crop is good. Wasn't nor sure about the border at first, but it I kind of grew on me.

Her eye looks very sharp to me Jo, and the light you have got on the visible part of her face is very good and has a diffused quality to it

i like the crop personally....and doesn't she look like you!

Yes,would be good to see a version with a large black area to the left of the picture.
Like the reflection of the computor screen in the eye.Would be interesting if you could somehow see in the reflection what the person was looking at!?

I like the intensity of this, but not wild about the black border on the left. I think it would be better with the face right on the edge. The title is perfect for this, with all the negative space on the right of the profile. Dramatic image.

Yep this is great different angle clear sharp all elements work so well nice one,John

The crop you chose works for me and for the title. Lovely light on her face, and love the reflection in her eye. My goodness but she looks so much like you I did a double take!

I think that the crop works well...very dramatic edge to it, which suits the modern look and the computer reflection in her eye.

Fabulous.

Great idea in the first place and I just love the light and colours in this, Jo. And that crop provides a lot of impact!
