been spending a bit of time going through my old files lately, and found this one of the two chimps taken at chester zoo a couple of years back
changed the background and messed with as you do..
thanks for looking
looks like its the end of the world & they are going to have to start over......
fab work Phil!
Very atmospheric, it's as if evolution is about to occur in front of our eyes. Wonderful work
This is very effective.
Crumbs, would never see this as a shot from Chester Zoo. how clever. nice work
Looks very effective Phil, superb 'messing'
time well spent!
Damn fine work.
Looks fantastic! changing a background made wonders. Brilliant.
Stunning mate, a winner for sure.
from the mist Phil ,
Amazing. Well done.
Great image love it
It has been a little foggy in chester but .....
This is a great piece of work
Absolutely stunning. I'd love to see what you started with but your unique artistic vision has given these two loads of character. They look like they are on a mission.
OUTSTANDING, if I could swear then the f word would have been before outstanding....
It my be an old file still worth a vote
wow stunning great playing i love doing it just superb
Emotive. I agree with Kitsch - there's a definite post-apocalyptic vibe going on here. The smaller one could be looking at his cousin "with wild surmise" (Angela Carter).
Has someone dropped a nuclear bomb on Chester recently? (!)
However you've got this effect it works for me
The worls is at an end,has that feel.Superb image.
thanks very much everyone, and especially to sarah and ian for the awards...very much appreciated!!
just nipped back to give you my award too Phil
What an outstanding piece of work, superb Phil
Thoroughly deserving of the UA's Phil. A unique piece of work .... thought provoking plus it looks darned good too. Alternative although rather hackneyed title "Out of Africa".
very effective Phil
Love it..very different, thought provoking & well put together.
Yes,apocalyptic springs to mind when I look at this..Kitsch has it in a nutshell.
Well done on your HC, well deserved.

Not sure what makes this such a brilliant shot,
Only that it caught my eyeand I am so glad it did.

By changing the background you completely changed the whole feel of it - it is a completely different image. See that you also adjusted the lighting on the chimps itself - superb work!

Just clicking thru my faved PF's and realised I haven't visited for a while. Amazed by the difference a background makes! This is wonderful. Everyone has beaten to to the superlatives ;o) So will settle for well done and I like it ;o)

Great piece of work, could be a promo movie poster. Certainly doesn't look like it was taken at a zoo!
