Been a while since I've uploaded anything but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy with the camera!
A female Marbled White from yesterday morning just getting ready for it's first flight of the day.
I was feeling a bit imaginative with this one as it was quite docile and decided to have a bash at this image stacking that Ade does so well at to try and get all of the buterfly and the grass fully in focus as the full depth was probably close to 1cm and not much hope of it normally. Thought I'd take a few sets and see how it worked. Just 4 shots combined rather than the 100+ Ade sometimes does but I get a bit more depth of field than he can manage at 5x and I only had about 2 hours before I had to be at work!
Combined in Photoshop, the automated process took maybe 2 minutes and the end result was pretty damn good really with not much additional work required at all! I took some more of a small skipper too so might try that later!
