Bill is the Station Master at Tanfield Railway in north east England, the oldest working railway in the world, and staffed by volunteers. I wanted to portray his character and include the setting.

This works well. Bill looks relaxed and in his element. I like the odd touches of the red rose and the tea cups etc in the background. It's a slice of old England.

Best wishes

Catherine

Thanks for your comments. The tea cups are there because one of the carriages is set out for passengers to have afternoon tea during the journey.
