One of the highest points around Wigan, coming back after picking up a cheque, for a job done ,The sun was dropping to the right and giving some lovely light and colour. The valley is much deeper than it seems ,the hill across is Ashurst brow the spire in the trees is Ashurst Beacon, one of the tudor warning fire sites. All in all a good evening.Best wishes to all ,Neil,Joan,Charlotte and Jacob.V2 is the road down the hill.

A lovely English pastoral scene in V 1, Neil, but of your two versions, i think V 2 really gets my vote.......love that road winding down the hillside, carrying the eye into the middle and far distance........all that beauty and not a single car in sight.......what they are all missingWinkWink
And the B and W presentation works very nicely too.
Ronnie.

A beautiful scene and lovely light over it Neil. Lovely sky too. Nice winding road in V2, wouldn't mind walking down it, but not the opposite! Moira

I do like that evening light in V1 but V2 does grab my attention. Good mono tones with the road taking the eye towards that lovely view.
Best wishes to you and the family.

Taken from the 'Wiggin Tree' Neil?. Two good shots. Like the way you got Ashurst Beacon in V1.

A beautiful rural landscape Neil, such wonderful light and greenery. I like the inclusion of the sheep peacefully grazing in the foreground
