Don't hedgehogs suffer with fleas? Can they be eradicated?

Quote: Don't hedgehogs suffer with fleas? Can they be eradicated?

According to a vet that I used to employ, hedgehogs are one of, if not the, most flea infested creatures in existence.
I took an injured hedgehog to him once and the first thing that he did was to spray it with 'Nuvan Top,' a particularly effective flea killer, really intended for dogs and cats.
Dozens of fleas quite literally leapt off of this poor creature and died on the vet's table.

I'd call him Milligan after Spike. A bit obvious I know but to me he would be Milligan,

David.
