You would not believe how many sparrowhawk on small bird shots I saw yesterday. Really you wouldn't. Anyway, I was pretty much in despair that people had be fortunate (obviously not for the small bird) to have witnessed such an incident and had not made the best of the situation.

So after viewing more than probably 20k images I thought, great now I have to go through the ePZ gallery. Why did I volunteer to be GE this week. Anyway I had a quick scan through and noticed a few images that I wanted to check out, this was one of them.

And what a relief, a well composed, well exposed shot of a sparrowhawk. So hence the award.
