This is what I consider to be my best shot of an Osprey.
I like the symmetry in the image and the intense eye contact of this ultimate fishing machine. The reflection for me was the icing on the cake. I hope you all like it too

I'd also like to say a big thanks to Pete for awarding my shot as POTW. Can't tell you how pleased I am 
and also a big thanks to everyone who have offered valuable advise and support since joining epz. It's much appreciated.

Wow, what can anyone say about a shot like this, Outstanding, what a fantastic picture.
Wow, the detail in both the bird and the fish are amazing, the eye contact is quite stunning and the reflection and splash are wonderful. Impeccable timing! Well deserving of a GEA from me for those reasons!

An unbelievable shot. Love the spray...is that why they're called osprey?
Only one even started on this approach for me, and turned off almost as soon as it was clear of the water, even the approach was from the side, so managed two frames of it coming at me. However, it was with the stones as background and not the grass 
Did I tell you I hate you

It really is hit and miss. I got nowt on my second day . I can sum up my osprey success in about 5 seconds worth of action. Would have been wounded if I was changing a memory card at that moment

These birds are ace. You will have forgotten all about the sea eagles after a few more osprey sessions

Was disappointed at first that this shot didn't get one of the main awards. But after such a great response from everyone and some user awards off some fantastic photographers this has more than made up for the this.

An outstanding image, you won't see any better wildlife images than that on here, that is for certain
Best of luck Lee...it really is a stonking image...reckon if they could have picked whilst they were shortlisting you would have got it there and then!
