Scottish Water’s Backwater Reservoir in North West Angus supplies drinking water to Angus, Dundee and parts of Perth & Kinross. With the recent heavy rain, the reservoir is at a very high level and is draining over the weir into the spillway. These images were taken on another misty and rainy day.
V1 – Looking up the reservoir away from the dam.
V2 – Looking towards the dam and to the spillway’s outlet under the bridge.
V3 – The bottom of the spillway below the dam.
V4 – Looking up the spillway from the bridge at the bottom (where I shouldn’t have been!).
V5 – The relatively tranquil scene after the water has left the spillway.
