A walk up to McCaig's Tower (or McCaig's Folly as it also known) shown in my previous upload, is a must if visiting Oban and certainly worth the effort of climbing to the top of the hill it's located on - even in inclement weather like it was here!
The front of the Tower leads out onto a balcony, offering splendid views out across Oban Bay. Looking out to the right, V1 & V2 show the northern point of the Isle of Kerrera, about 1.75 km to it's small marina from my position. Beyond, in the far distance, is the Isle of Mull, it's snow capped hills being some 12 km away as the crow flies. I'd timed it just right to capture the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry heading out to Mull too!
Looking to the left, V3 shows Pulpit Hill, behind Oban's harbour, ferry terminal, and railway station - the Isle of Kerrera can be seen to the right and in the distance. The chimney at the bottom of the image belongs to Oban's most important building - it's whisky distillery! V4 is the same scene, zoomed in.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.
