Crazily expensive and of no real practical use other than the odd ceremonial sip. The Nautilus Cup was often used as a symbol of wealth in classic Dutch still life paintings.

So much to see here. I am especially fascinated by the juxtaposition of the burlap and the lace. A most interesting combination of elements.
