Black and White Magazine Photographer of the Year 2011

At the annual Black and White Photographer of the year awards last night my above entry won the technology category sponsored by Nik Software, so pretty chuffed at present. Looked impressive seeing it displayed as a very large print and it was quite a special moment.
For anyone in the London area all the winning images are on display at The Print Space Gallery till the end of October plus they are in this month’s edition of Black and White Photography magazine.

The image was shot on a Keith Henson Northscape workshop back in May at the NYMR, huge thanks to Keith for getting me access to shoot this.

Gary it's at The Printspace, google it and it gives you directions, the print is large, I was really thrilled with how it looked, some other good one too on show

Yes Karl the image looks great in the large print, best thing is I get the print as well once the exhibition finishes

LOL Dave it is shot on the footplate of a steam engine (train) and all the dials levers etc the driver uses to drive the train, oh plus a big fire at the bottom to generate the steam in a nutshell
