I trained as an Air Photography Operator with the Royal Air Force at RAF Cosford in 1974. I was then posted to RAF Brampton and then moved into the The Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre (JARIC) working with air reconnaissance and satellite imagery.
In 1978 I joined a commercial photography studio as a printer before moving to Cambridge University where I now photograph manuscripts, rare books and special collection items.
I gained my City & Guilds certificate in General Photography in 1984 and have been a Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photography since 1987.
Although I am a professional photographer this wildlife photography is completely new to me and has kept me going after the death of my lovely mum.
