Hi all, and welcome to another silly Sunday upload. I took these three shots last Sunday Morning, during a brief Sunny spell.(Heavy Rain and high Winds at the mo', and sitting here with a light on) I've been meaning to take pic's of this rather shabby piece of Building work for ages. It's actually in Maidstone Town, and I pass by it every time I go into Town, and at last, made a point of Photographing it. Hope you find it as fascinating as I do
and of course, Building work dosn't get much sillier than this ![]()
A big thanks to all who voted on my 'Paddles & Pearls' upload, and hope you all have a good Week running up to the Bank Holiday Weekend.
All the best to all, and try to stay dry down South.

I like your title - wouldn't get permission here for sure - but then some people just get on and do it !!!!
Helen
Am I seeing thins, or is the entire building really held together with string????
Given the detail embellishment that you have captured particularly well (the special bricks arching above the windows) the building was loved - once upon a time.
Interesting, and maybe a sign of the times.
Now I'm going to plug in the fan heater to warm up my toes. Yes, the C.H. is on . . . .
Have a good Sunday nevertheless!
Regards
Bill
I'm sure there was a logical reason behind this... V2 for me, the direct face-on view - and I'd love to crop it to square.
Moira
tis quite bizarre...especially as the window has a nice bit of architecture around it...quite strange!!
Good image well spotted.
Gareth
Ha ha, thanks all, and yes I see what you mean about being tied together with String Bill ![]()
The Buiding is now a News Agents, well, the downstairs is anyway, but not sure if the upstairs is a part of it, or if it's separately owned?
Thanks everyone, and yes it's a crazy World, but at least it lends itself to super comments like Niknut's ![]()

Thanks Nik.
And a BIG thanks to Moira for the well worked square mod ![]()
I wonder what is in that slice stuck onto the house? a narrow closet? a loo?
very bizarre, but maybe partially blocked windows weren't taxed ![]()
I hope that's not a fire escape, John? Certainly doesn't live up to the title of Room With a View....
Very well spotted.
Malc
Ha ha, you certainly made me smile there Moira
Sue, I wish you could meet the person who did this, sounds like you'd give them a right old Tongue lashing! ![]()
And yes Mick, again I like your train of thought ![]()
Suz' glad you still like receiving funny Emails, and I'll send more whenever I get them![]()
And Malc, I'd love to see someone trying to escape from that Window, and shuffle down the Roof onto the hard Tarmac pavement ![]()
If the upstairs and downstairs are owned by different people then they've definitely had a falling out - if not before the building work then certainly after
As others have already commented, you've spotted and captured a mad piece of work really well and allowed others to have a smile at it in the process.
Regards
Anna
