Dave ISO was that high due to being in a sort of 'gully' surrounded by trees...and needed to up the speed
but a gleam of light came through
hense that B/G ..I think...not sure how I managed that/ but pleased with it

Now that is really cute, Lillian, all young and fluffy, and the background doesn't bother me at all.
The detail in the plumage is immaculate and I like the lush green background.

You would have had a good laugh had you seen the Big O sinking into the marshy ground beside Woorgreens Lake on Tuesday morning and ending up getting his feet and ankles soaking wet! Gary had the sense to wear wellingtons and I had the good sense to avoid the boggiest areas so my feet remained relatively dry
Lovely portrait of this adorable youngster, well worth the wet bum. I have yet to view mine but if I get one half as good I will be well pleased.
Fantastic Lillian, luv it, the backgroud colour works so well with the owl and very sharp and great use of dof. the catchlights in the eyes are awesome.
Well done i think you deserve my carper award, bearing in mind, your description and exif data.
