This is my 10 year old son Andrew. He hates to pose for pictures, so I took him to the park so he could play basketball, hoping that I would be able to catch a shot of him smiling. This is one of the shots I got of him.

A natural smile. Smile

This is a fabulous shot Lisa..I saw the reference to it in your blog ! He looks very natural and at ease. What I would give to have hair as thick as that ! Smile

A well made and natural looking portrait, especially for a 10 year old. We know how they can be.. (including myself at that age!)

Great picture Lisa, caught the moment for sure, nice blurred background makes Andrew stand out well. I have the same problem with my "moody" 13 year old, does not like having his pic taken. I have a few of him smiling but not a lot....I'll bring him over and Andrew can teach him how to smile !!

Kids and animals... I have problems with lol... one pulls faces the other turns away.....so I sympathise with you trying to get a 10 year old to smile... but great idea of the park and its worked a treat you've captured his happiness perfectly... Karen Smile

You have captured such a lovely smile even though you say he doesn't like his photo being taken.
