Nice one Chelsea.
The composition works because the bridge is not across the midlle of the shot but on the third (ask you Mum about the 'rule of thirds'. It also stops the viewers gaze from running out of the top of the picture.
If the bridge had been at the bottom of the shot it wouldn't have worked because it would have 'stopped' the viewer from going into the picture.

Nice shot! The tones and lighting are really nice...as is the composition. You need to tell Mummy to give you her camera if you take shots as good as these! Keep this up and you'll be giving her a good run for her money! Smile

This is good in B&W - it shows up the contrast of the snow with the trees and bridge - and makes me wish we had more snow down here in Cambridgeshire!

There are a lot of lovely shots that can be make with snow that blankets everything, but in my mind this 'half snow' with grass and stuff peeking through is more what we are used to in England and is lovely in its own right.

I am enjoying looking at your work Chelsea as you have some beautiful shots...I like the Winter best for taking photos so this is how I would have taken the shot...Beautiful.
