A very sad site - a Marbled Fritillary (Brenthis daphne), captured by a crab spider whilst feeding on scabious, near La Breole in the French Alps.
Having had such a bad season in the UK, it was wonderful to see so many butterflies in France and fortunately many more fritillaries.
