This is my first foray into focus stacking and is of a fossil shell (Volutaspina) from the Eocene at Barton on Sea, Hampshire. I collected this specimen washing out of the clay cliffs back in 1981. When this animal was alive, the climate was very tropical and other finds in the area include sharks teeth, crocodile and turtle remains.
