Here is another image of a mint male Escher's Blue (Polyommatus escheri) taken on the Coll des Fillys in the French Alps in early July this year.

It was tantalizing to see glimpses of the bright blue wing topside even in this closed pose, in the early morning sunlight.

Not sure what the plant is but it looks leguminous. Any ideas?

Superb shot, Paul, but I'm afraid the plant is a new one on me!

A fabulous close up of this blue beauty, a species that I've never had the fortune of seeing
