I took this image at "La Montagne aux Marmottes" zoo in the Alps. At the end of the falconry display, the larger birds were wresting on posts.
I had already noticed the "blue bottle" above the birds head but it it wasn't until this evening that I noticed wasp in front of its breast. I was tempted to clone them out but I think they make the image more interesting?
The birds were amazing, being flown of the the turquoise blue back-drop of Lac Serre-Poncon, on a hot humid day with thunderstorms brewing over the mountains.
