The area around the Barbican has many "HighWalks" - a remnant of 70s town planning when we were all to live in a multi-level city. As buildings are redeveloped some of these walkways turn in to hardly used dead ends.

Some poor homeless person has taken advantage of this to create a bed under cover on this open walkway. It was -3 during the day, so heaven knows what it is like sleeping out here at night. I hope they have managed to find a place in a hostel tonight:
