I thought I would try out some of the stuff I learnt at the weekend by having a play with flash. I've got myself a second strobe (a 580ex II) now so it enabled me to do a bit of off camera stuff.

Love the 'ROT' composition - love the DoF - Love the textures of the BG wood surface - love the lighting balance with the slight shadow of the glass going into the the image - love the colour of the 'gloop' in the glass and its being the focal point (and it's attendant shape).

Yup! That works!
