365 Day 184 - OPHY

10pm last night I was hit by an attack of gout. Even though I had taken some drugs by 4 in the morning I was in agony and wide awake. Getting to work wasn't going to happen so I elected to work at home, amazingly even with just a couple of hours sleep I got much more done then I normally do in the...

365 Day 183 - 28 April 1918

Well, much to my own surprise I have managed to do half of this 365 project :) Today I visited the war memorial at The Royal Exchange:

And now for something completely different. Wandering round by The Gherkin today I came across a young lady pretending to feed a statue of a gorilla. On and that is not the gorillas tail, it has a fish under its arm. Who needs digital manipulation when reality is this weird ?

365 Day 175 - So many stories

They have started the garden of remembrance in St.Pauls churchyard. Looking at the dedications today I was particularly moved by two crosses next to each other dedicated to men who had died in Reichswauld Forest. The battle is treated as little more than a foot note in history yet still someone r...

365 Day 174 - Morning Walk

Another day off today to sort out more fallout from the flood. Though we were still up early to walk the dog:
