Took a walk round by St. Pauls today/ In preparation for Thatchers funeral tomorrow the place is awash with TV crews and security. Piles of cables to connect the cameras are everywhere:

Parliament was recalled today for the death of Mrs Thatcher. I was hoping there might be some demonstrations going on, but there was only a small group of people protesting about Chechnya or somewhere. I read there banners four or five times & I still don't know what they were against or for. ...
