November was a good month for pics. I'm just getting a chance to process some. This is from a trip to Heybridge Basin at the beginning of November.
Comments, critiques and mods welcome.

I like a lot about this, but just wished that the buoys weren't dotted around as they break up the flow of the eye through the image IMO. By cloning them out if just makes a cleaner image with less distraction.
Great work though - really excellent photograph!
Thanks for the mod Robs - looks pretty good, thanks for taking the time to do it.
Thanks for the comments & clicks folks.
Chris
Lovely light Chris, simple but very effective.

Clive
Very nicely done. For me the original is better. The brighter pastels work well and the buoys introduce a lack of symmetry which adds interest.

Wow this has done much better than I thought it would - thanks folks.

The tones are so attractive and the reflections perfect, a stunner.

(A3 in a frame for my Christmas pressie please

Seriously though, this is one of only a few images that I have seen on here that I would pay for ....although I'm not going to, instead I'll aspire to take something of camparable quaity myself one day ![]()
LOL story of my life. I think your quality is easily comparable Rob.
Cheers Chris, I'm quite happy with the way my photography is going at the moment but I've got nothing that I would put on a wall.
If this was mine it would definitely go on the wall, it ticks all the right boxes for me, I had a big thing about sailing a few years back and this was the sort of yacht (about 20ft?) that I dreamed of owning, although I moved on to the next hobby, photography, the dream is still there. I suppose that is why I like this image so much, the composition, the pastel colours, the sliver of land and the hint of civilisation all make it very good but it's the fact that it stirs my imagination and reminds me of my dream that makes it special ![]()
Rob
Ahh - I see, thanks for that Rob. Not sure about the "hint of civilisation" - it is in Essex you know ![]()
A beautifulluy lit pure and serene image. The superb colours speak for themselves. Nice work, Chris.
