Lovely shot Lou, I like the colours of the BG and the grass, they go well with the butterfly.
A top quality close up Lou, the detail and colours are excellent. The grass stem on the right does not detract from this lovely image in any way and I would leave it in. I take it this is the female of the species as the inner wings appear to be brown.
Excellent macro Louise. Good use of differential focussing. This has the effect of giving the main subject- the butterfly- far greater prominence. Fine shot.
If you can pluck up the courage to remove the right side stalk I think you will be pleased with the composition. Just a thought !!!!!
