Thank you to everybody who voted on my last post `Its a bugs life`
I`m back to not doing much photography at the moment, needed to catch up on doing a few things at home this weekend. Did take the opportunity to do the RSPB `Make your nature count` survey today after most of last week being a wash out. No new visitors really, just all the usual suspects. So here is one from the survey, and one of my favourite garden birds, a female Blackbird.

Thanks John....
Ive been using garden birds as practice really, even with using the tripod on occasion the focus looks soft around the eyes, whether its to do with using a fairly cheap tripod im not sure, or there is movement when i press to take the image, i dont know. I need to invest in another remote switch for this camera so that would help ![]()
it is a good start you got here, and since you got all the powerful lenses I'm sure you'll get hooked
Nicely captured Mark, my eyesight is not too good, but i think this looks sharp. Jamie
Thanks Jamie and Ju.
Neither my eyesight Jamie, not the best, one reason i do not shoot manual often.
Thanks Matt
The trick now is for me to get bird images sharp when they are moving ![]()
A splendid shot of this hen blackbird, the detail in the plumage is excellent
