Thanks to all for comments and votes on my last image `Telscombe Cliffs`
Back to our feathered friends today and one of the Pheasant hens that was walking around with the **** Pheasant i had uploaded last week. All i know is this is a Hen, not sure whether its Juvenile or Adult, it was one of 4 hens with the Male Pheasant although i did not capture a shot of each individual hen so its hard to tell if she was young or Old.

Haha no Valery i guess they wont ![]()
Cliff, it has nothing to be sad about if it is. As long as it does not fly off elsewhere its safe there at WWT, not going to end up on anybodies plate.
What a lovely image Mark,excellent details,well done..Lin
Quote: In principle, it doesn't matter is she young or old, Mark ... No one is going to sell her beer![]()

Regards Valery
she might try an old speckled hen!
lovely detail in the plumage ![]()
As with virtually all birds the male is more Colourful to attract the females, a reversal of us although today I some times wonder lol. nice detailed shot! and would think that this is a young bird, and even in my paintings of pheasants I put the hen on the far side of the Male lol. like it regards Leon.![]()

I have to agree Leon, unless the bird is of monotypic genera. ![]()
