Personally I think there are a little too many colours, and it would be better to focus on just one set of flowers or one flower.

To get the flowers in the back in focus you would need to use a higher f number, i.e. f8, f10. But normally with these sorts of shots people tend to have a shallow depth of field so only the main focus of the shot is in focus, and use a small f number ie f5 or smaller (or often referred to as a large aperture) .

I agree that its a little busy, and doesnt seem particularly sharp.

I usually carry a couple of clothes pegs in my bag, just to clip obtrusive background flowers out of the way whilst I take the shot. Although half the time I forget about them until I look back at the shot already taken rollseyes
